Description

Isotretinoin Capsules are a powerful oral medication used to treat severe acne that has not responded to other treatments. It belongs to the class of drugs known as retinoids (derived from Vitamin A) and works by reducing the production of facial oil (sebum), which helps prevent acne formation.

How It Works:

Isotretinoin reduces the size and activity of the oil glands in the skin, leading to less sebum production. It also helps prevent the clogging of pores and reduces inflammation, which helps in healing acne and preventing new breakouts.

Dosage:

• Mild to Moderate Acne: 0.5 mg/kg per day for 15–20 weeks
• Severe Acne: Up to 1 mg/kg per day for 15–20 weeks
• Take with food to improve absorption
